About us

Ratatype.org is an independent website for people learning touch typing with the Ratatype online tutor. We are typists, teachers and writers who believe that typing without looking is one of the most useful skills a person can learn, and one of the most often skipped.

What we do

We explain each part of the Ratatype course in plain language and publish practical guides on speed, accuracy and posture that work alongside the online lessons.

How we write

Our guides are based on common touch typing practice and on the publicly available features of the Ratatype tutor. We review articles regularly and update them when something changes. If you spot an error, please let us know through the contact page.

Independence

Ratatype.org is not owned by, affiliated with or endorsed by Ratatype.com. The Ratatype name is used only to describe the tutor our guides are about.
